Coach Petoskey is in his second stint as head coach of the wrestling program.  This stint began in 2008.  Prior to the current coaching Bill coached the team from 1985 – 1989.

Coach Petoskey’s coaching career began in 1981 when he was an assistant wrestling coach for Eastern Michigan University.  He then was a graduate assistant coach with the University of Michigan from 1984-1985.  Dexter Wrestling Club and the Ann Arbor Warriors Wrestling Club have benefited from Coach Petoskey’s coaching from 1995.

Coach Petoskey was a three-year letter winner as a Pioneer High School.  He was also recognized as an All-State wrestler.  His college wrestling career found him at the University of Michigan, where he was a three-year letter winner and co-captain of the team.

Coach Petoskey is a “hands on” coach, and can be found demonstrating moves for the student-athletes.  With his emphasis on academics, he continues to push his student athletes to improve on a daily basis.

Bill is a retired sheriff deputy.  He is married to Betsy and they have three adult children who each participated in athletics for Pioneer.
